CELTA
The CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a pre-service Teacher Development course that focuses on both the theoretical and practical aspects of teaching English.

Mode, Content and Time table:
Input and Lesson Planning
Every week on Saturdays (10am-4pm)
Teaching Practice and Feedback
Every week on Tuesdays and
Thursdays (6:30pm-10pm)
Teaching Practice and Observation
Six hours of observed teaching at least two different levels
Input Sessions and Feedback Sessions
Trainees will get input on different approaches and techniques to teach. They get a chance to apply these techniques in their teaching practice. They get feedback from their tutor for each teaching practice and keep improving their teaching skills.
Peer Observations
Trainees will have six hours of live observations of experienced teachers, in which they can see the techniques, lesson shapes, and approaches in action.
Candidates need to be over 18 years old and for non-native speakers
have a CEFR-C2 or high C1 level of English
How is CELTA assessed?
Assessment requirements
To meet the assessment requirements, candidates must attend a course and:
• Practice-teach classes of a total of six hours.
• Observe experienced teachers for a total of six hours, three of which may be on video.
• Maintain and submit a portfolio of all coursework including all written assignments and materials related to teaching practice.
